THE BEN AMI FAMILY
We lost contact with our parents at 10:07 AM after Ohad messaged that they were captured.
An hour later, we saw a photo of him in Gaza on Telegram. Two days later, on Facebook, we found a video of Raz surrounded by terrorists, being led into a Hamas vehicle.
Raz has an autoimmune disease and takes medication so we are very worried about her health and well being.
She was released as part of the 7-day hostage deal in November 2023. Her husband Ohad is still in captivity.

THE BERMAN FAMILY
Gali and Ziv are twin brothers from Kibbutz Kfar Gaza. On the terrible Saturday of October 7th, they still spoke with their father on the phone until 9 a.m., until the connection was cut off. For days, we did not receive any information about them. On October 11th, an officer from the army arrived and informed us that they had been kidnapped without adding any additional information. We miss them. They are the joy of our family. They have two older brothers; one lives in the kibbutz as well.

THE YEHOUD FAMILY
Dolev and Arbel are siblings. They were kidnapped from Kibbutz Nir Oz by Hamas to Gaza.
Dolev is married to Sigal and has four children. He is a volunteer medic at “Magen David Adom” and the Rescue Union. Dolev is working for Qplus as a civil engineer. A few days ago, after the kidnap, Sigal, the wife of Dolev, gave birth to their new daughter without him knowing that.
Arbel and her partner Ariel were kidnapped from their home in the kibbutz. Arbel served as a medic and, after the army, lived for a while in the center of the country. Six years ago, she returned to live in the kibbutz. Arbel is very interested in space exploration and astronomy and is engaged in training on these subjects at the Groove Tech Complex in the Eshkol Regional Council. Arbel, who loves people and nature, recently traveled with her partner Ariel in South and Central America. When she returned, they found a job in their fields and began cultivating a routine; not long ago, they adopted a puppy they named Murph.

THE JACOB FAMILY
On Saturday morning, October 7th, at 6:30 in the morning, the red alert went off and the barrage of missiles fell on our house in kibbutz Nir Oz. My sons, 12 and 16, were alone in my house, sleeping. They got into the same room. They called me, scared to death, they said they heard someone breaking into our home. Over the phone, I heard voices speaking in Arabic. Even though my son was trying hard to hold it closed, the door to the safe room was pushed open. The last I heard was my youngest saying “Don’t take me - I’m too young”.
70 people were kidnapped from their homes in Nir Oz. I think of them, alone, in a pit or a dark tunnel with no sense of time. hope they are together, keeping each other strong, and that they are with other children who were also kidnapped. Until I see them again, waiting to hug them again, soon.
Yagil and Jacob were released as part of the hostage deal that lasted 7 days in November 2023.

TAMIR ADAR, 38
Tamir Adar was born in Kibbutz Nir Oz and worked as a farmer in the kibbutz, where he lived with his wife Hadas and their two young children. On the morning of October 7th, Tamir woke up to the sounds of sirens. Immediately, he gathered his family and took them to the safe room. As he heard the terrorists approaching, he realized the gravity of the situation in the kibbutz. Bravely, he retrieved his gun, which he had stored for self-defense, and went outside to protect his family and fellow kibbutz members from Hamas terrorists.
While Hadas stayed in the safe room with their children for hours until they were finally rescued, Tamir was abducted to Gaza, and we have not received any sign of life from him since that morning. The Adar family has been a four-generation presence in the kibbutz. Unfortunately, Tamir’s grandmother, Yaffa Adar, was also kidnapped from her house in Nir Oz.
Yaffa was later released in the November hostage deal but Tamir died in captivity of his wounds.

The terrorists put Amit Shani and two other men in the car, Yossi Sharabi and Ofir Engel, and drove off. His mother and his two sisters and the women from the other family stayed on the grass, found shelter in the dimension of another house, and survived there for 9 hours until the army rescued them.
